Teresa Carlson, Amazon, ExecutiveMosaicTeresa Carlson, vice president of Amazon Web Services’ worldwide public sector, has said agencies will control costs, enhance quality and boost the speed of cloud services in 2014, FCW reported Thursday.

Carlson writes that the government and private sector have already shifted focus to core business operations from running data centers.

Agencies are now able to establish the proper security level using the cloud, according to Carlson.

Several Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program accreditations were awarded in 2013 to major companies and cloud procurements continue to take place, the report says.

Carlson writes governments can achieve their goals in 2014 while breaking the linked “iron triangle” of cost, quality and speed
