ITT Corp. has added an authorized provider of aftermarket services to aerospace customers in China as the company looks to expand its global aircraft support business.
An ITT-authorized service center run by Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Co. will maintain ITT-made components that are installed on commercial planes, ITT said Tuesday.
“This agreement with GAMECO gives us greater global capabilities and is strategically focused on enhancing our level of support to aircraft owners and operators throughout China,” said Munish Munda, ITT president of the control technologies business.
The GAMECO facility is meant to provide hardware repair and services for different types of Boeing and Airbus aircraft, ITT says.
ITT manufactures valves, actuators, pumps and switching devices through its aerospace controls subsidiary.
