MarkLogic-logoMarkLogic has updated its enterprise NoSQL database platform to include support for Javascript and Node.js server-side programming systems.

Version 8 of the MarkLogic platform is designed to help developers build, deploy and configure applications using a data-interchange format, MarkLogic said Tuesday.

Joe Pasqua, MarkLogic senior vice president of product strategy, said the company integrated Javascript and JSON into its database technology with the goal of addressing development, agility and security issues.

The updated product also is built to offer support for other computer languages such as PHP, C#, Ruby, Python, C++, SQL, Perl and XQuery.

MarkLogic’s enterprise NoSQL database offering is built to help customers with data search, recovery and risk management functions.
