UnisysUnisys has unveiled a new security appliance that the company designed to encrypt sensitive data and make enterprise networks inaccessible to unauthorized users, Network World reported Monday.

David Strom writes that Unisys’ Stealth product works by cloaking communication endpoints to keep hackers out of the network.

The company built the platform for use with 64- and 32-bit Windows and Linux servers and desktops, according to Strom’s article.

Unisys designed the product to help customers to virtualize and safeguard communities of interest that link two or more computers.

Stealth also works to secure access to virtual private networks, remote sites across the Internet and data from a mobile or a USB device.
