deloitteDeloitte‘s Australian business has partnered with CFO-level consulting firm Analytics Group to bolster its accounting and finance consulting practice, as the chief financial officer’s role grows across government agencies amid ongoing fiscal challenges.

Deloitte said Tuesday two partners and 19 staffers from Analytics Group will work with its team in Canberra to provide financial management, planning, budgeting and forecasting, operations consulting and business case development services.

“Our transaction will significantly increase the scale of the Canberra office whilst  providing the opportunity to gain a stronger Federal Government presence primarily at the CFO level,” said Andrew Johnstone-Burt, Deloitte national public sector leader.

According to Lynne Pezzullo, Deloitte managing partner at the Canberra office, the Analytics Group team adds to the 10 new partners hired in the past year, as federal and state government clients increasingly target performance and productivity improvements and cost efficiencies.

Analytics Group has named Scott Alexander and Brett Streatfeild as the partners joining Deloitte in Canberra.
