SAIC logoScience Applications International Corp. has won a $115 million contract to provide systems engineering, integration and management services for Saudi Arabia’s food security program.

SAIC will also assist the Saudi-American Food Security & Renewable Energy Company in developing the SAFECO industrial complex, the company said Thursday.

Robert Genter, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of strategic growth markets, said the company intends for the first two years of the contract to help SAFECO develop and operate the facilities and achieve its goals.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract which contains a three-year base period and six three-year options.

SAIC will perform work in Virginia, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

The SAFECO program aims to build up KSA’s renewable energy sources and minimize the county’s dependence on foreign food supply.
