Tony-SmeraglinoloAn Engility subsidiary has won $22.2 million in task orders to help the U.S. Air Force engineer, test and manage the branch’s fleet of Reaper and Predator unmanned aerial systems.

Dynamics Research Corp. will perform UAS flight and ground assessments, weapons integration, logistics, acquisition and flight scheduling, among other support services, Engility said Wednesday.

“We appreciate the confidence the U.S. Air Force has shown in the outstanding work of the Engility men and women who have been supporting the medium altitude unmanned aircraft systems division, and in particular, the critical missions of the MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper,” said Tony Smeraglinolo, Engility president and CEO.

The orders contain nine base months and two three-month options and were awarded through the Naval Air Systems Command‘s Logistics, Maintenance and Supply Support vehicle.

Work will occur at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, as well as in Poway and Palmdale, California.
