In-Q-Tel logoIn-Q-Tel has invested in and signed a technology development deal with Expect Labs to build voice-enabled applications for government using the latter’s MindMeld API developer platform, GCN reported Monday.

The report said MindMeld API provides developers a platform to build voice-enabled interfaces for apps, devices or websites as well as includes indexing and contextual analysis capabilities.

George Hoyem, an investments partner at In-Q-Tel, expects such contextual search technologies to deliver efficiencies and big data insights in government operations.

Voice-enabled applications are also designed to foster content discovery and ease navigation among knowledge workers who use mobile devices, the report said.
