PAC-3 Erint MissileLockheed Martin has awarded Minco Technology Labs a multi-year contract to manufacture components for Lockheed’s Aegis missile defense system.

Minco will commence production of Aegis structural parts in the fourth quarter of this year and expects to complete component deliveries in early 2016, Minco said Wednesday.

Lockheed is contracted to update and maintain the Aegis weapon and combat systems on the U.S. Navy‘s DDG 51 destroyers, CG 47 cruisers and future surface combatants.
