Northrop Grumman will add new systems into Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers under $41 million in new contracts from Huntington Ingalls Industries, General Dynamics Bath Iron Works and the U.S. Navy.
Northrop said Wednesday it will build and test five integrated bridge and navigation systems under an $11 million contract with the Naval Sea Systems Command.
The company will also deliver six steering gear systems under $30 million in contracts with HII and General Dynamics.
Contracts also cover engineering services; radar, GPS and ship control display systems; and other equipment and software.
The systems will be delivered between next year and 2021 and will be installed either at the destroyers’ home ports or at the HII and Bath Iron Works shipyards, Northrop said.
