The Intelligence and National Security Alliance has released a white paper that details the view from members of the private sector on the intelligence community information technology enterprise.
INSA said Thursday it developed the paper based on panel discussions on best practices and lessons gained from industry’s shared services and cloud-based architectures.
Joseph DeTrani, INSA president, said the organization aims for the paper to “inform the IC leadership as they continue their critical work to ensure an efficient and effective intelligence community.”
The white paper recommends agencies adopt a metrics-based governance process, workforce strategy development  and government-to-government and government-to-industry business models as potential concepts to further the IC ITE implementation.
INSA established the IC ITE task force in 2012 in order to discuss technical and process challenges and opportunities with the IC and Defense Department thought leaders, chief information officers, industry executives and academics.
