Northrop Grumman has applied ANSYS‘ software into the development of new Black Hawk helicopter cockpit display systems in order to meet avionics standards.
Northrop is upgrading the UH-60L Black Hawk cockpit to UH-60V using the ANSYS SCADE suite and SCADE display integrated avionics software, ANSYS said Wednesday.
“SCADE allows us to take full advantage of model-based engineering, resulting in improved development and testing efficiencies and delivering an affordable software sustainment approach across the program lifecycle,” said Simona Kelley, director of Army avionics programs at Northrop Grumman.
Northrop plans to configure up to 750 UH-60L aircraft to the UH-60V model for the U.S. Army.
