Karen Dahut, executive vice president of the strategic innovation group at Booz Allen Hamilton, says the organization’s goal is to help public and private sector clients fulfill their missions through the use of technology, FedPulse reported Wednesday.

Dahut told FedPulse reporter Susan Rose the company has also formed partnerships with universities, nonprofits and business incubators to generate ideas about innovation.

“Our approach is to deconstruct a problem to its core, while also leveraging a wide ecosystem of organizations to help find the right solution,” Dahut added, according to the publication.

She cited crowdsourcing as one tool for organizations to address complex mission challenges without having to spend a lot of time and money.

Dahut says Booz Allen uses three methods to help federal customers maximize innovation in the face of tighter budgets and she believes agencies should continue to evolve despite budgetary issues.

She also predicts over time government organizations will fully embrace data science, cloud computing and health information technology.

“We are at the forefront of changing the way that digital innovations impact everyone from citizens to soldiers,” she added, according to Rose’s article.

“Many of these trends will help agencies best achieve mission effectiveness.”
