curtis_mac_smallAs president and CEO of Vencore, Mac Curtis oversees more than 2,000 people that provide systems engineering and integration services to the public and private sectors.

Curtis joined the Vertias Capital-owned company in 2013 — when it was known as The SI Organization — after time as an operating executive for the private equity firm.

The 25-year GovCon senior leadership veteran previously held the same roles at Vangent, which grew its revenue to $760 million during his tenure there and was sold to General Dynamics in 2011 for $960 million cash.

He had also served as the president and CEO of Pearson Government Solutions until that company’s sale to Veritas Capital in 2007 and rebrand to the Vangent name.

Curtis has also led DynCorp International’s information and enterprise technology group as an SVP.

Curtis is a member of the board of advisers at George Mason University’s School of Engineering and previously served on the boards of Truven Health Analytics and CRGT.

Previously, he served as chairman of the Professional Services Council.

He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and was selected as a Federal Computer Week 2011 Federal 100 Award winner.
