cybersecurityBAE Systems’ applied intelligence business has partnered with the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy to develop counterfraud and cybersecurity services for the public sector.

CIPFA and BAE intend for the partnership to provide public organizations with the technology to manage risks, detect fraudulent activities, counter cyber threats and combat money laundering activities, BAE said Friday.

“It is our pleasure to help bring the combination of the focused insight of CIPFA’s Counter Fraud Center together with innovative technology,” said George Robbins, senior director of commercial services for EMEA at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.

“Supporting the public sector in the fight against digital crime is a key contributor to ensuring that public services resources within the U.K. are focused where they are most needed and to greatest effect.”

The CIPFA is scheduled to exhibit counterfraud and cybersecurity tools for public services on March 3 at its London headquarters.
