DARPAThe Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is seeking proposals for the development of new  sensor systems that can identify and track air, surface and subsurface targets.

DARPA released a presolicitation Tuesday for the unmanned sensor systems for Arctic operations such as delivery and data exfiltration.

The agency wants platforms that it can deploy above the Arctic Circle for military missions without being refueled for more than a month.

Companies need to submit proposals that address various military surveillance problems in the geographic region and demonstrate the technical performance of their services through analysis, laboratory development and field experimentation, DARPA said.

Funding for the project is $500,000 to $750,000 per performer within one fiscal year.
