northrop-Grumman_BLUEA Northrop Grumman subsidiary in the U.K. will expand the air traffic communication system of the Incheon air traffic control center under a contract with the South Korean ministry of land, infrastructure and transport.

The company said Friday that Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems will provide six additional sites to the current Incheon area control center infrastructure to support ground-to-air communications.

“We look forward to working again with the Korean air traffic control authorities,” said Charles Houseago, the Northrop subsidiary’s managing director.

Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems has partnered with JoongAng Hitel to install the ACC systems, which will include Park Air T6 radio equipment as well as 30 VHF and 32 UHF channels, Northrop said.

The company added that it will perform factory acceptance testing and factory training in the U.K.

The contract runs through mid-2015.
