Leidos and Ripken Baseball have agreed to give the company naming rights to Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland as part of a multiyear sponsorship agreement, The Baltimore Sun reported Monday.

Jeff Barker writes that the venue will be called “Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium,” a change that goes into effect June 19.

“We support numerous customers in the Aberdeen Proving Ground area and many of our employees live there as well,” said Roger Krone, Leidos CEO and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2015.

He noted that Leidos’ sports partnership programs, including its existing deal with Major League Soccer team D.C. United, work to facilitate company engagement efforts with employees and local communities.

Tim Lewis, president of Ripken Baseball, noted that proceeds from the deal will go toward infrastructure work at the stadium, the report said.

Ripken Stadium, which is home to the minor league baseball team Aberdeen IronBirds, was originally named in honor of Baltimore Orioles Hall of Famer Carl Ripken Jr.
