mobile-securityThe Defense Department‘s U.S. Special Operations Command is seeking information on potential providers of integrity verification and tamper detection tools for BlackBerry 10 smartphones.

USSOCOM said Thursday it wants a technology that can help special operations forces to monitor and audit BlackBerry 10 software and application modules.

The command is also interested in acquiring a platform intended to detect any attempt to tamper or root the mobile operating system.

Government, commercial and academic organizations can submit white papers on the technology to USSOCOM through April 29.
