electronic health record EHRHuntington Ingalls Industries has selected Ritchie-Curbow Construction to construct its planned health center for employees at the Newport News Shipbuilding division.

The health facility will comprise exam rooms, physical therapy sections, X-ray and chemistry laboratories, and other rooms for education and meetings, Huntington Ingalls said Monday.

Scheduled to open in the fall, the 21,894-square-foot facility on Washington Avenue between 45th and 46th streets will provide primary care, radiology, physical therapy and laboratory services for Newport News employees and their families.

“Employees and dependents will have full access to health coaches, doctors, pharmacists and nurses so they can more easily make health and wellness a priority,” said Bill Bell, Newport News vice president of human resources and administration.

QuadMed will operate the health center.

Nonrepresented workers and their dependents enrolled in the Anthem health plan will also have access to the health services at the center, Huntington Ingalls says.
