Engineers and technicians will work together at the center to conduct research on simulation, analytics, chemicals,  materials, propulsion, avionics systems, sensors, communication and cybersecurity, Boeing said Friday.

Steve Swaine, Boeing research center lead, said the company has brought together a team of data analytics and advanced engineering professionals to help the company produce various aerospace products.

The 80,000-square-foot facility houses laboratories equipped with autoclaves for composite material treatment, a rate calorimeter for heat reaction tests, machines for testing metal properties and simulation computers.
