Raytheon has opened a new research and demonstration center in Sterling, Va. to work with corporate and government customers on the defense of computing environments from cyber threats.
Raytheon said Wednesday the Global Cyber Solutions Center is based at the headquarters of the company’s intelligence, information and services segment in Sterling and will act as a venue for its partners in government and industry to test, evaluate and demonstrate cybersecurity technologies.
David Wajsgras, president of the IIS segment, said the company aims to help customers understand cybersecurity systems in an effort to mitigate “increased threats associated with the Internet of Things, the rapidly rising use of mobile devices, and ever more reliance on cloud computing.â€
“This new center is important part of the company’s strategy to support our customers and expand our global cyber security business,†he added.
