mobile-securityWidePoint has partnered with Samsung subsidiary Samsung SDS America to deploy the former’s Certificate-on-Device digital certificates on Samsung’s Galaxy S and Galaxy Note mobile devices.

WidePoint said Monday the alliance also includes the integration of its Intelligent Telecommunications Management System with Samsung’s CellWe Enterprise Mobility Management software.

“WidePoint looks forward to continuing work with Samsung SDSA as we work to grow our Telecom Lifecycle Management and next-generation identity management offerings,” said Steve Komar, chairman and CEO of WidePoint.

According to the company, the deployment of WidePoint digital certificates on Samsung devices also leverages Samsung Knox to secure mobile enterprise data and support authentication without the need for smart cards.

WidePoint noted that its ITMS offering for managing telecom expenses and inventories will add mobile device management functions through the integration with Samsung SDS CellWe EMM.
