cybersecurityFireEye has partnered with the National Fusion Center Association to launch a threat intelligence sharing initiative that will work to provide cyber training and technology to state governments.

The company said Thursday the initiative will support state intelligence agencies during cyber crises by sharing actionable intelligence on cyber threats and training cyber analysts.

“When you can rely on a solid combination of intelligence, technology and expertise, you stand a much better chance of identifying a breach before the worst can happen,” said Chad Holmes, chief security strategist at FireEye.

FireEye added that it will also work with NFCA to jointly develop an Automated Threat Intelligence Exchange Network for the California State Threat Assessment System and offer a weeklong training on cyber intelligence gathering, curation and dissemination.
