alliance partnership connectFortinet and NTT Com Security have forged a partnership to combine their platforms in an effort to help enterprises protect their data centers and other information technology infrastructures from network threats.

Both companies will work to provide consulting services for commercial firms on various areas, such as risk reduction, incident management and IT implementation, Fortinet said Monday.

Fortinet and NTT Com Security will also combine and deploy their offerings intended to provide firewall, computer risk management, software defined networking, security information and event management and cloud tools for companies.

Fortinet CEO Ken Xie said the collaboration aims to secure data centers and networks “as businesses increasingly look to adopt cloud-based systems and virtualization.”
