Oceus Networks has received the 2015 LTE Visionary Award from Mobility Tech Zone in recognition of the 4G Long Term Evolution offering of its Xiphos tactical broadband product.

Randy Fuerst, president and CEO of Oceus, said in a statement Tuesday that 4G LTE capabilities work to support the need for mobile communications and situational awareness among first responders and deployed soldiers and tactical teams.

Xiphos works to provide voice, data and video connectivity particularly in remote locations, battlefields and emergency situations, Oceus said.

Oceus Networks is a privately held company based in Reston, Virginia.
