Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has announced that General Dynamics Mission Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics will act as a sponsor and provide funds for the Mach37 Cyber Accelerator program.
The sponsorship works to help the business accelerator launch new startups and cyber platforms in Virginia, the governor’s office said Tuesday.
“Mach37 gives us access to Virginia’s smartest minds and technologies, accelerating the delivery of cybersecurity products and solutions that our customers need, when they need it,” said Nadia Short, vice president and general manager of cyber systems at General Dynamics Mission Systems.
Mach37 opened the application process in November for its Spring 2016 Cohort mentorship program, which aims to help startups develop and market their information security platforms.
The 90-day mentorship program is scheduled to start on March 14.
