google appsAmit Singh, president of Google for Work, has announced that Google will deliver what the search giant calls unlimited cloud storage to U.S. government agencies through the Google Apps for Work offering.

Singh wrote in a blog entry posted Friday that the company has received authorization under FedRAMP — the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program — to offer the cloud-based suite of productivity tools to government.

Google Apps for Work are built on the Google Cloud Platform to facilitate collaboration and support workloads.

“[Our] goal remains the same: Empower billions of people to work the way they choose and build what’s next,” Singh said.

“Technology can help by assisting with tasks, suggesting how to maximize your time and even proactively surfacing the information you need.”
