Lockheed-Martin-BlueLockheed Martin has introduced the company’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics program to Singapore in partnership with UN Women Singapore.

Lockheed Martin said Monday it hosted a STEM event in Biopolis, Singapore, where more than 300 students engaged with U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Carrie Howe, Facebook’s Claire Deevy and Guo Huili, Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology scientist within the Agency for Science, Technology and Research.

The speakers answered questions from the students during an open panel session moderated by Lockheed executives.

“Advancing science, technology, engineering and mathematics education is an integral part of the Lockheed Martin promise,” said Doug Greenlaw, vice president and regional executive for Asia at Lockheed.

“Today’s Girls Take Flight event is the first of many exciting and meaningful community mentorship programs we have planned for Singapore and the rest of Asia,” Greenlaw added.
