Aerojet RocketdyneAn Aerojet Rocketdyne-built propulsion system has supported Lockheed Martin‘s PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement missile during a U.S. Army-led flight test at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico on Thursday.

Aerojet Rocketdyne said Thursday its MSE propulsion system integrated on the PAC-3 MSE missile works to function as a rocket motor and provide energy management support to the missile’s interceptor and hit-to-kill technology.

Eileen Drake, CEO and president of Aerojet Rocketdyne, said the test works to validate MSE’s capability in missile threat scenarios.

The company noted that it built the MSE propulsion system at its facility in Arkansas and that it also supplies 180 attitude control motors for the MSE missiles.
