Brad Schulz has joined Turner Engineering Group as the new regional design manager of its Washington business unit.

Schulz started in his role in January and is in charge of design management on federal projects, Turner Engineering said Monday.

He brings over 28 years of experience in design and management with most of those years working on public sector planning and construction projects.

Some of his projects include the National Museum of the U.S. Navy, the Cadet Barracks Upgrade Program at West Point, a Naval Air Station hangar in Florida, the Fort Knox Human Resource Center of Excellence in Kentucky and several under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Transatlantic Program Center in Virginia.

Schulz has worked as a division manager at Atkins where he previously served as a senior group manager for its Alexandria, Virginia, and Austin, Texas, architectural offices.

He was also vice president and federal architecture market sector leader at HNTB and has held other architecture-related roles at Michael Baker International, Residential Design Group, Overton & Associates and Chiodini & Associates.

He is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
