Erickson Inc.Erickson has offered investors an update on its support legacy aircraft programs through aircraft maintenance, refurbishment and parts manufacturing services.

“We have more than 200 mechanics and engineers on our team at Erickson,” Kerry Jarandson, Erickson vice president of maintenance, repair and overhaul and manufacturing, said in a release Tuesday.

Adams Communication & Engineering Technologies subcontracted Erickson in January to restore two U.S. Navy MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopters used to conduct defense and rescue operations.

The company also completed a contract with Sikorsky to deliver five out-of-production spare tail pylons for the Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters that were designed to carry 73,500 pounds of cargo.

Erickson also is working on aerodynamic and fuel consumption aspects of its Composite Main Rotor Blade Program.

“[The] program was designed to develop a single main rotor blade that was able to be installed on different aircraft models: CH54A&B and the S64E&F. The existing main rotor blade inventory for these models is becoming exhausted, so creating lower manufacturing and life-cycle costs for replacement blades are essential,” said Jarandson.
