Gerald Ford aircraft carrierA PaR Systems subsidiary has concluded a series of tests on an electric aircraft elevator to be installed on the USS John F. Kennedy carrier for the U.S. Navy.

PaR Marine will install the elevator for carrier constructor Huntington Ingalls Industries and additional qualification tests will take place sometime in mid-2016, PaR Systems said Thursday.

“Passing the performance testing represents a success for not only the PaR Marine team, but also for our customers and partners in HII Newport News and the USN,” said Daren Pietsch, president of PaR Marine.

E-ACE has been under development for over 10 years with the previous four years dedicated to design and production for this performance test.
