MTSIModern Technology Solutions Inc. has been awarded a $63.8 million contract to support the U.S. Army‘s distributed digital simulation and system-of-systems development efforts.

Tim King, vice president of MTSI’s army and missile defense division, said Tuesday the company seeks to help the Army “explore future capabilities, develop complex interfaces and maintain digital simulation, hardware-in-the-loop and prototyping facilities.”

The Army Contracting Command will allocate funds and provide performance location to the company upon issuance of each order, the Defense Department noted.

MTSI is scheduled to complete work under the five-year contract by March 1, 2021.
