TetraTechLogoTetra Tech has been awarded a five-year, $28 million contract to provide assistance for the U.S. Agency for International Development‘s implementation of water sector management and governance strategies in Jordan.

Tetra Tech will work with the government of Jordan to develop and implement policies meant to sustain and protect the country’s water-supply systems through capacity building, the company said Monday.

The company also seeks to help establish water demand management and behavior change communication programs across Jordan.

Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech chairman and CEO, said the company will leverage its experience in water scarce regions in efforts to help USAID improve management and sustainability of Jordanian water infrastructure.

The company was awarded a separate $46 million task order in November 2015 to support USAID’s government and social programs in Jordan.
