cybersecurityGlobal Technology Resources Inc. and Absio have agreed to combine their information technology consulting expertise and cybersecurity experience as the two companies aim to help clients protect and manage digital information.

Absio also added GTRI to its partner program in a push to grow the former company’s presence in the government and enterprise markets, GTRI said Wednesday.

GTRI seeks to offer Absio’s Dispatch application designed to help users automatically encrypt emails and attachments as well as maintain encrypted data.

“As one of the largest repositories of confidential files within any organization, email is fertile ground for hackers, at high risk for employee mistakes and a treasure trove of information in litigation,” said Rob Kilgore, Absio president and CEO.

GTRI CEO Greg Byles said the company’s partnership with Absio aims to create a cybersecurity suite intended to defend business networks, users, social media, devices and emails against threats.

The combination of services, methodology and experts from the two companies will work to guide customers in efforts to manage complex security systems, analyze risks and implement technology platforms, GTRI noted.
