“We’re happy to continue our collaboration with Microsoft to help customers across industries embrace hybrid cloud,” Smith noted.

He added Cloud Access products eligible for use on Azure Government include Red Hat’s Enterprise Linux 6.7+, Enterprise Linux 7.2+, OpenShift Container, JBoss Middleware and Gluster Storage.

Azure Government has been certified as compliant with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, the Defense Department‘s information impact-level 4 standard and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, according to a blog article written by Karina Homme, principal program manager and product market lead for Microsoft’s Azure Government.

Red Hat will hold its DevNation Federal forum in Washington on July 28 to discuss how open-source platforms can help transform agencies’ information technology operations.
