ManTech International has secured a potential three-year, $24 million task order from the Department of Homeland Security to prototype a joint service-oriented architecture for use in border security operations.

The company said Tuesday it will develop the tool to help DHS’ Customs and Border Protection personnel integrate operational data and gain situational awareness in real time.

Daniel Keefe, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s mission solutions and services group, noted the company will work with CBP to explore and demonstrate intelligence-based approaches to secure U.S. borders.

The order has 12 base months and two 12-month options.

ManTech will perform work at CBP headquarters in Washington and other domestic locations through March 10, 2019
