Mikros SystemsMikros Systems has received a five-year, $48 million contract to supply Adaptive Diagnostic Electronic Portable Test Distance Support Sensor Suite units and spare parts to the U.S. Navy.

The Defense Department said Friday the company will also perform engineering work on ADSSS units under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Work will occur in various locations across the continental U.S. through September 2021.

ADSSS is designed to integrate with the Navy’s shipboard network and works to help the Navy perform combat system condition-based monitoring and distance support functions, DoD noted.

The contract was awarded through the department’s Small Business Innovation Research program.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center is the contracting activity and obligated $3 million at the time of award from the Navy’s fiscal year 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
