Navy Picks TEGAM Bond Test System for Ship, Aircraft Maintenance Efforts - top government contractors - best government contracting eventTEGAM has secured $900,000 in orders from the U.S. Navy to supply portable micro-ohm and bond test equipment to help address the aircraft and ship maintenance requirements of the service branch and U.S. Marine Corps.

The company said Wednesday it expects to complete deliveries of the R1L-E2A electrical bonding meter system to the Navy by the end of this year.

R1L-E2A is designed to comply with ATEX, UL and CSA intrinsically safe standards as well as used on Lockheed Martin‘s F-35 program, TEGAM noted.

TEGAM President Adam Fleder said the company aims to help defense customers ensure the safety of soldiers who will deploy to potentially explosive work areas with the bond meter system.

The Navy also ordered more than $1 million in R1L-D1 micro-ohmmeter and resistance measurement equipment from TEGAM to support the branch’s nuclear power test programs.
