deloitteDeloitte has opened a center that aims to produce research and foster collaboration to address problems facing the government.

The company said Tuesday its new Center for Government Insights will engage with public sector leaders through publications, forums and workshops in efforts to provide insights on local, state and federal government issues.

William Eggers, managing director for services at Deloitte, will lead the center that will also act as a collaboration space for government and commercial clients as well as academics and former and current public officials.

Eggers said the center will gather data, tap into partners’ experiences, interview subject matter experts then test and share findings with clients to address their requirements.

Dan Helfrich, head of Deloitte’s federal consulting business, said research, publications and workshops from the center will help provide best practices to optimize the government’s performance.

The center will be operated by research professionals with experience in government, organizational effectiveness, policy formulation and innovation such as Bruce Chew and John O’Leary from Deloitte Consulting.

Deloitte works with public sector clients in 47 out of 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and 15 federal government cabinet departments.
