NavyC5ISRCambridge International Systems has secured a $19.3 million task order from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic to support the Defense Department‘s command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.

The contract covers equipment and services associated with full system lifecycle support such as research, development, test, evaluation, production and fielding of interoperable C5ISR, information operations, enterprise information services and space platforms, Cambridge said Nov. 22.

Russell Thurston, vice president of Cambridge’s defense and intelligence solutions business, said the company aims  to deliver secure and integrated platforms to partner nations and naval, joint and national agencies of the U.S. under the task order.

Cambridge will help the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command to engineer and update the maritime surveillance system of the Bahrain Coastal Surveillance System for Bahrain’s ministry of interior coast guard.

The company will also test the viability of 4G LTE technologies for the Department of the Navy’s unmanned systems that require an integrated, self-contained and deployable 4G LTE radio frequency testbed.
