CAECAE has finished construction of an Alabama-based facility where some of the company’s employees and subcontractor personnel will provide fixed-wing training for U.S. Army  aviators.

The company said Wednesday it also secured occupancy certificate for the Dothan Training Center and installed a Grob G120TP flight training device at the facility.

CAE is scheduled to deliver C-12 King Air full-flight simulators to the center in the first quarter of 2017.

“We are now in the final stages of preparing to welcome our first class of Army students when we will begin providing the Army with a modern, flexible and cost-effective training program specifically designed for fixed-wing aviators,” said Ray Duquette, president and general manager of CAE USA.

The company also currently develops two 7000XR Series motherships with a roll-on/roll-off cockpit technology and another four RORO cockpits that represent configurations of C-12 King Air aircraft.

The Dothan Training Center features classrooms, a training system integrated learning environment, modern facilities, student and instructor lounges, cafeteria and fitness center.
