Lockheed Martin Continues Mentorship of Accurate Machine and Tool Under DoD Program - top government contractors - best government contracting eventLockheed Martin continues to work with Accurate Machine and Tool in efforts to boost the latter’s capacity to serve more potential customers as well as create opportunities for government work as part of the Defense Department‘s Mentor-Protege Program.

Lockheed said Wednesday it secured a three-year deal with the Missile Defense Agency to help update AMT’s manufacturing and management processes and provide advice on how the protege company can serve the aerospace, commercial and defense sectors.

“AMT is looking forward to broadening our relationship with Lockheed Martin and considers our partnership an opportunity to explore new ideas, expand our integration capability, sharpen our expertise and posture us for continued growth,” said Norris Simons, a vice president and general manager at AMT.

Madison, Alabama-based machinery, welding and design company AMT manufactures products for Lockheed’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, F-35 and Orion programs.

AMT is a woman-owned small business.
