General Dynamics to Produce Missile Fire Control System Equipment for 2 Int'l Clients - top government contractors - best government contracting eventGeneral Dynamics has been awarded a $40.8 million contract modification by the U.S. Navy to supply two foreign countries with missile fire control system equipment and engineering services.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the modification combines purchases from South Korea and Japan under separate foreign military sales deals with the U.S. government.

General Dynamics’ ordinance and tactical systems business will produce MK 82 director and MK 200 director controller ship sets for integration into the Aegis Weapon System‘s MK99 missile fire control system.

Work under the modification will occur in Saco, Maine, through December 2021.

The Navy used FMS funds to cover the full obligated amount at the time of award and DoD said the funds will not expire at the end of current fiscal year.
