Engility Opens New Office in Augusta, Georgia - top government contractors - best government contracting eventEngility has established a new facility in Augusta, Georgia, as the company seeks to access the area’s cyber talent pool and expand support to customers at Fort Gordon.

Chantilly, Virginia-based Engility said Monday its new office will also house program management personnel who coordinate the activities of approximately 100 company employees across the state.

Scott Whatmough, senior vice president for Engility’s defense group, said the company aims to adopt new technologies and apply the platforms to customer missions worldwide.

Augusta is poised to serve as the new national cyber hub through the construction of a $50 million cyber facility funded by the state of Georgia as well as the Defense Department‘s $2.1 billion investment in a new Cyber Command headquarters in the city.

Engility on Thursday unveiled five centers of excellence where the company intends to develop technology and service offerings in the agile software, artificial intelligence, cyber, high-performance computing and modeling and simulation areas.
