Raytheon Tests Air & Missile Defense Radar Against Multiple Targets - top government contractors - best government contracting eventRaytheon has demonstrated a company-made air and missile defense radar against multiple missile targets at the U.S. Navy‘s Pacific Missile Range Facility in Kauai, Hawaii.

AN/SPY-6(V) worked to simultaneously detect and track a short-range ballistic missile target and multiple anti-ship cruise missile targets during the demonstration, which marks the radar’s third flight test, Raytheon said Friday.

Navy Capt. Seiko Okano, a program manager within the Navy’s program executive office for integrated warfare systems, said AN/SPY-6 is on track for deployment on the military branch’s first Flight III Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer.

Raytheon has demonstrated the radar against integrated air and missile defense targets, satellites and aircraft so far.
