CH2M to Help NAVFAC Repair Storm-Damaged Navy Facilities in Texas - top government contractors - best government contracting eventCH2M has secured a task order to repair and stabilize multiple buildings at two U.S. Navy bases in Texas that sustained damage from Hurricane Harvey.

The company said Thursday it will help the Naval Facilities Engineering Command to conduct infrastructure and facilities recovery; and roof repair and replacement efforts at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and Naval Air Station Kingsville.

Mark Rigatti, director of Department of Defense operations for CH2M, said the company will deploy airfield, structural, transportation, electrical, communications and operations engineers to help return damaged Navy facilities to operation.

The task order was issued under a multiple-award global contingency construction contract and will include assessment and repair of architectural, structural, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, fire protection, electrical deficiencies and incidental related storm damages.

CH2M has previously performed mission assurance study and airfield infrastructure assessment at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.

The company also helped NAVFAC develop a moisture and mold remediation manual and training program.
