HDT Robotic System Enters Phase II Army Equipment Transport Program - top government contractors - best government contracting eventHDT Global has received a contract to further develop a robotic system under the second phase of the U.S. Army‘s Squad Multipurpose Equipment Transport program.

The company said Tuesday its Wheeled Offload Logistics Follower is designed to transport up to 1,000 pounds of cargo at a distance of 100 miles without resupply as well as perform silent drive and silent watch missions with the help of its JP-8/electric hybrid powertrain.

Sean Bond, president and CEO at HDT Global, said work on the Hunter WOLF platform represents the company’s continued commitment to research and develop technologies that can help warfighters address issues faced in extreme environments.

Hunter WOLF went through a 60-mile endurance trial during Phase I of the SMET program which demonstrated the system’s capacity to support infantry missions.

The system also features a modular architecture and complies with Army interoperability protocols needed to adapt to various mission requirements and support mission specific kits.
