Curtiss-Wright said Tuesday its EMS division is scheduled to perform engineering and production work under the contract through at least 2022.

The contract marks the first award Curtiss-Wright received after it bought SiemensDresser-Rand government business through a $212.5 million cash deal that closed April 2.

Newport News Shipbuilding received a $179.9 million contract modification from the Navy earlier this month to obtain additional long-lead-time materials needed to construct the third carrier of the Gerald R. Ford class.
